Crispy Golden Pasta Chips (Printable)

Golden, crispy air-fried pasta tossed with olive oil, Parmesan, and savory seasonings for snacking.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Pasta

01 - 9 oz short pasta (penne, rigatoni, or farfalle)

→ Seasonings

02 - 2 tbsp olive oil
03 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
04 - 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
05 - 1/2 tsp paprika
06 - 1/2 tsp salt
07 - 1/4 tsp black pepper

→ Cheese

08 - 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

# Directions:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta until just al dente according to package instructions. Drain well and pat dry with a clean towel to remove excess moisture.
02 - In a large bowl, toss the cooked pasta with olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
03 - Incorporate the grated Parmesan cheese and toss again to distribute it evenly over the pasta.
04 - Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) if required by your model.
05 - Arrange the pasta in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the pasta chips are golden and crispy.
06 - Allow the pasta chips to cool slightly before serving. Serve with preferred dips such as marinara or pesto.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Theyre dangerously addictive in that way where you reach for one and suddenly half the bowl is gone
  • The air fryer makes them perfectly crispy without turning on your oven or standing over a hot stove
02 -
  • Drying the pasta after boiling is the most important step. Any water left on there means soggy chips instead of crispy ones.
  • Dont overcrowd the air fryer basket or the pasta will steam instead of crisp. Work in batches if you need to.
03 -
  • Work in small batches in the air fryer, better to do multiple batches than end up with soggy pasta
  • The shaking halfway through is non negotiable for even browning
