02 - ⅓ cup pure maple syrup
03 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
04 - 2 tablespoons light brown sugar

07 - ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

# Directions:
01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
02 - In a large ovenproof skillet or baking dish, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and maple syrup until sugar dissolves and mixture bubbles, about 2 minutes.
03 - Add sliced pears to the skillet, sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg, and toss gently to coat. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pears soften and caramelize.
04 - Stir in walnut halves and vanilla extract carefully to combine.
05 - Place the skillet or transfer contents to a baking dish and bake for 18 to 20 minutes, until pears are tender and walnuts toasted.
06 - Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm topped with Greek yogurt or vanilla ice cream if desired.
