Air Fryer Cinnamon Sugar Donuts (Printable)

Fluffy donuts made from biscuit dough, air-fried to golden perfection and coated in sweet cinnamon sugar.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Dough

01 - 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)

→ Coating

02 - 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
03 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
04 - 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

# Directions:

01 - Preheat the air fryer to 350°F for 3 minutes to ensure proper cooking temperature.
02 - Remove biscuits from the can. Using a small round cutter or bottle cap, cut out the center of each biscuit to form a donut shape; reserve the centers for donut holes if desired.
03 - Lightly spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
04 - Arrange the donut shapes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch. Cook in batches if necessary.
05 - Air fry for 5–6 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and puffed.
06 - While donuts are cooking, mix the sugar and cinnamon together in a shallow bowl until well combined.
07 - Immediately after air frying, brush each donut with melted butter, then toss in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
08 - Repeat with remaining dough and centers for donut holes, reducing cook time for holes to about 3–4 minutes.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • These transform from regular biscuit dough to bakery-worthy treats in under 20 minutes, perfect for those mornings when you want something special without the fuss.
  • The air fryer creates that perfect golden exterior while keeping the inside pillowy soft, something I could never achieve with traditional frying.
02 -
  • The donuts continue to darken quickly after the 5-minute mark, so keep a close eye on them during the final minute of cooking.
  • If you dont coat them with butter while theyre still hot, the cinnamon sugar wont stick properly, a mistake I made with my entire first batch.
03 -
  • If your air fryer basket tends to stick despite using spray, try cutting small squares of parchment paper with holes punched in it to place under each donut.
  • Reserve the extra cinnamon sugar mixture in an airtight container for sprinkling over buttered toast or oatmeal throughout the week.
